Finn Haberkost
Student Assistant
Finn Haberkost is a student assistant at RIFS since January 2025 and part of the Geopolitics of Energy and Industrial Transformation research group. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Hamburg and is currently studying Political Theory at the Goethe University Frankfurt. In this context, he spent semesters abroad at University College London and Virginia Tech University, where he intensively studied environmental policy in the USA and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
Recently, he has worked on the energy transition as part of his internships at the Foreign Ministry, the German Africa Foundation and the Ministry for Economy and Climate Action co-authored a RIFS study on controlling emissions in Germany's future hydrogen economy.
